About the EMR Network

Citizens and Professionals for the Responsible Use of Electromagnetic Radiation.

We believe that electromagnetic radiation (EMR), which includes the extremely low frequencies (ELF), the radio frequencies (RF) and microwave (MW) radiation, may be hazardous to life and may constitute a significant threat to public health. This belief is based on credible research, spanning decades of scientific inquiry.

Our mission is to enhance local, regional, national, and international efforts to reduce, mitigate, and where possible, eliminate hazardous exposure to EMR.

We are committed to fostering the appropriate scientific research. Our charge is to educate the public, government officials and those in other scientific disciplines about the biological effects and environmental concerns associated with EMR.

The EMR Network was created to provide a forum for effective and balanced information for citizen-action groups, the media, municipal agents, government officials and scientists alike.

  1. Dr Kevin Smith Says:

The public needs to be informed about possible health hazards caused from EMF. A 230kw power line is planned across our property adjacent to a 115kw line. I begin to study on the subject and was alarmed to health effects of EMF caused from power lines. The easement will be within 176 ft of me children bedroom. The EMR network has a very important purpose.

I agree what is the accumulative affects compounded by long term exposures? Those should be the focus on all new scientific research. Concerned Citizens don’t want to hear that “no one really knows” – Our government should be taking more action to protect us and our children from any potential threats, or unknown threats. Our military does it every day – Obama is taking measures for the tabacco industry.

  3. JoAnn Says:

Please take this very serious. I can feel the effects of high tension power lines as close as 6/10ths of a mile away.

  4. Erin Says:

I received a notice from the Planning Department that Verizon intends to put up an 80 cell phone tower on my street.

Does anyone have effective letters or other documents that I could use as a template in trying to stop this tower from being erected? We are going to write letters. Also, other than objecting to the Planning Department, what other options do we have?

    Thank you.
